The purpose of OPS Eco-sustainability Education is to inspire, educate and empower Oasians to become passionate eco-stewards who take proactive steps in making a positive impact on our environment. The OPS Eco Framework includes 4Cs – Campus, Community, Culture and Curriculum as shown in the video. OPS has a 3-tiered Model Approach in our Eco-Sustainability Education: Tier 1 (Engage), Tier 2 (Empower) and Tier 3 (Elevate). Tier 1 programmes provide students with knowledge of eco-stewardship by engaging them in participation through school-wide programmes. Tier 2 programmes provide opportunities for students to apply what they have learnt by empowering them to embark on projects as a level or department. Tier 3 programmes provide a platform for students to internalise their learning by elevating others to promote environmental education to their peers. In OPS, we aim to steer our school’s green initiatives in alignment with Singapore’s national agenda on sustainable development by inculcating the values of care and responsibility in students and staff for the environment.
